Musical Life at the Place of Pilgrimage Svatá Hora in Příbram

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o hudebním životě na nejznámějším českém mariánském poutním místě Svatá Hora v Příbrami. Seznamuje čtenáře s historií chrámového komplexu, s důležitými hudebními osobnostmi a soubory, působícími zde v minulosti i v současnosti. Věnuje se aktuálnímu hudebnímu dění, hudbě liturgické i světské. Poskytuje informace o jedinečných svatohorských zvonech a dotýká se i současných svatohorských témat, jako je projekt stavby nových varhan. Velkou část práce tvoří popisy audio nahrávek, úzce souvisejících se Svatou Horou. V přílohách jsou zařazeny rozšiřující popisy varhan a zvonů a přehled zdejších hudebních událostí od počátku roku 2010 do současnosti. Hlavním cílem práce je popularizace poutního místa jako významného centra kulturního života.

Abstract:

This bachelor project deals with musical life at the Holy Mountain in Příbram, the Czech most famous place of pilgrimage, connected with St. Maria´s cult. It gives the information about the history of the temple complex, about important musical personalities and about ensembles acting here in past and at present days. It introduces actual musical events, dealing with both liturgical and secular music. It brings information about unique Holy Mountain´s bells, and touches also current topics, such as the project of a new organ building. A large part of the project is filled with description of audio recordings closely related to the Holy Mountain. Appendixes include enlarged descriptions of organs and bells, and also a survey of musical events held here from the beginning of 2010 up to the present. The main aim of the project is to popularize this place of pilgrimage as an important centre of cultural life.
