Abstract:

Práce se zabývá sluchovým postižením, průzkumem informovanosti a pohledu obecné společnosti na toto postižení. Začíná uvedením čtenáře do celkové problematiky sluchového postižení. Dozví se o významu sluchu pro člověka o oboru surdopedie a terminologii, která je potřebná k lepšímu porozumění tématu. Dále čtenáři přiblížím osobnost sluchově postiženého jedince a klasifikaci sluchových vad a poruch. Poté bude čtenář seznámen se vzděláváním sluchově postižených, různými druhy přístupů a historií jejího vývoje. Na závěr teoretické části uvedu možnosti kompenzace sluchové vady a způsoby komunikace neslyšících. Pro sběr dat byla využita metoda kvantitativní, v rámci, které jsem zvolil dotazníkové šetření. Dotazník byl vytvořen v elektronické podobě a výsledky jsou porovnány s již provedeným průzkumem Jany Kociánové z roku 2018 a získaná data prezentuji pomocí sloupcových grafů. Cílem práce je prozkoumat názory intaktní společnosti na problematiku sluchového postižení a zjistit, jak moc se názor běžné populace změnil v průběhu čtyř let Celkovým výstupem práce je následné zhodnocení a porovnání výsledků, týkající se informovanosti o tomto tématu a pohled respondentů na diskriminaci a předsudky vůči sluchově postiženým, včetně jejich zkušeností. Pozornost je zde věnována i názorům na vzdělávání a integraci těchto jedinců do škol a zaměstnání či míře pomoci sluchově postiženým.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with hearing impairment, research on awareness, and general society’s view of this disability. It starts by introducing the reader to the overall issue of hearing impairment. The reader learns about the importance of hearing, the field of deaf education, and the terminology needed to better understand the topic. Next, I introduce the reader to the personality of a hearing-impaired individual, and the classification of hearing defects and disorders. Then the reader will be informed about the education of hearing-impaired, the different types of its approaches and the history of its development. At the end of the theoretical part, I present the possibilities of compensation for hearing loss and the ways of communication for the deaf. This study aims to investigate the views of the general population on the issue of hearing impairment and to find out how much the opinions have changed over four years. The method of data collection was quantitative, and I chose a questionnaire survey. The survey was created in an electronic form and the results are compared with those already obtained by Jana Kociánová in 2018. The acquired data is presented using bar graphs. The overall outcome of this thesis is the subsequent evaluation and comparison of the results regarding the awareness of this topic and respondents' views on discrimination and prejudice against the hearing-impaired, including their experiences. Attention is also paid to the views on education and integration of hearing-impaired into schools and employment, and the extent of assistance for these individuals.
