Abstract:

The diploma thesis entitled Dust settled on folklore is a photographic project in which the author deals with the recording and connection of folklore with contemporary photography. The Author utopically perceives traditional folklore costumes as dusty boxes from the past, into which figuratively it captures the contemporary man perceived by her as a symbol of today's progress. It brings the magic of relationships to the surroundings, creating a series of mysterious melancholic situations. The use of purely female models adds softness and fragility to the shots, which enhances the feeling of helpless fleeting moments. Unfavorable and in some places visibly freezing weather is an uncontrollable part of the surroundings and the photos are so often cruelly ruthless. At first glance, the purely folklore scenes are full of inconspicuous contemporary details, which point out that these are not period reproductions. The recording of agricultural machinery in the soil or the power line crossing the sky and the clouds that enter the scenes in places is like a landart echo of a man naturally breaking his life steps into the environment. Emphasis is placed on the contrast between strictly staged photography and a spontaneously random interplay of circumstances. The series of photos is also complemented by photos documenting the preparations and the course of the photo shoot.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca s názvom Prachom zapadnutý folklór je fotografickým projektom v ktorom sa autorka zaoberá záznamom a prepojením folklóru so súčastnou fotografiou. Autorka v ňom utopicky vníma tradičné kroje ako prachom zapadajúce schránky z minulosti, do ktorých obrazne zachytáva súčastného človeka ňou vnímaného ako symbol pokroku dneška. Mágiu súhry týchto vnemov vkladá do prostredia a vzniká tak séria tajomne melancholických situácií. Použitie čiste ženských modeliek dodáva do záberov jemnosť a krehkosť čo umocňuje pocit bezbrannosti prchavého okamžiku. Nepriaznivé a miestami viditeľne mrazivé počasie je neovplyvniteľnou súčasťou okolia a fotografie sú tak mnohokrát až surovo nemilosrdné. Na prvý dojem čiste folklórne scény sú plné nenápadných súčastných detailov, ktoré upozorňujú, že sa nejedná o dobové reprodukcie. Záznam poľnohospodárskej techniky v pôde či elektrické vedenie križujúce nebo a mraky, ktoré do scén miestami vstupuje, je ako landartová ozvena človeka prirodzene vrývajúceho do prostredia svoje životné kroky. V práci sa kladie dôraz na kontrast medzi striktne inscenovanou fotografiou a spontánne náhodnou súhrou okolností. Série fotiek tiež súbežne dopĺňajú fotografie dokumentujúce prípravy a priebeh fotenia.
