ACTOR BETWEEN THEATRE AND FILM

Abstract:

Tato magisterská práce se zabývá problematikou herce mezi divadlema filmem. Práce má teoreticko-empirický charakter s podkladem praktickéčásti vytvořeného divadelního projektu Láska, sex a trápení ve srovnánís projektem filmovým Erotica of Sadness. Magisterská práce srovnává takblízké a zároveň vzdálené profese jako je divadelní a filmové herectví. Cílemtéto práce je pojmenovat v čem se profese shodují a kde se naopakrozcházejí. Zabývala jsem se otázkou, zda je pro divadelního herce těžké státpřed kamerou, pro filmového herce stát na jevišti. Dále za jakých okolnostíje možné být profesionálním hercem na obou polích. V první části se práceopírá o teorii a seznamuje čtenáře s divadelním a filmovým vzdělávánímv České republice, dále s nahlédnutím do historie divadla a filmu připomínávybranými příklady některé etapy, respektive osobnosti, jež byli pro vývojherectví určující. Tato studie je podložena osobní zkušeností a nahlíží narůzné pohledy hereckého umění. V poslední části se pak zaměřuje na částempirickou, která zahrnuje jednotlivé rozhovory a výstupy z nich.

Abstract:

This master thesis deals with the problematics of actor who performs both intheatre and movies. Thesis has theoretical – empirical character based onpractical part which is creation of theatre project ¨Love, sex and sufferings¨compared to movie project Erotica of Sadness. Master thesis compares theseclose yet distant professions such as theatre acting and movie acting. Goal ofthe thesis is to find out similarities and differences between these professions.For example, if it is difficult for theatre actor to stand in front of camera or ifmovie actor has issues to perform on the theatre stage. Another goal is tofind out under which conditions is possible to become professional andsuccessful actor in both fields. First part of thesis is based on theoreticalresearch and introduces readers with theatre and movie education in theCzech Republic with insights from the history from both fields focused onchosen time periods and actors who were influential for development of actingart. This thesis is also based on personal experience and provides differentpoints of view on acting itself. Last part of thesis is focused on empiricalresearch including interviews with actors and conclusions from them.
