Anthropometry of female basketball players. A cross-sectional study.

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá antropometrií hráček basketbalu, frekvencí výskytu zranění a svalových zkrácení v tomto sportu. Materiál představuje 60 hráček basketbalu tří různých věkových skupin (10-12 let, 14-16 let, 22-30 let). V této práci jsou porovnána naměřená antropometrická data s daty normální populace ze studie Pavla Bláhy. Z dotazníkového šetření byly získány informace o výskytu zranění a pomocí svalových testů byly zjištěny informace o zkrácení jednotlivých svalových skupin. Z výsledků vyplývá, že v porovnání antropometrických dat byly nalezeny významné rozdíly v tělesné výšce, hmotnosti, délce ruky, obvodu stehna a lýtka a v ektomorfní, mezomorfní a endomorfní komponentě. Co se týče zranění, tak nejčastějším typem zranění byla distorze kotníku a nejčastěji zkrácenou skupinou svalů u basketbalistek byly flexory kolene a flexory zápěstí.

Abstract:

This thesis deal with anthropometry of female basketball players, frequency of injuries and muscle shortening in this sport. Sample represent 60 basketball players divided into three groups by age (10-12 years, 14-16 years, 22-30 years). The measured anthropological data are compared with data from Pavel Bláha’s study of normal population. Then the information about frequency of injuries was gained from questionnaire and there were made muscles test to find information about muscle shortening. In the results, there are significant differences in stature, weight, lenght of hand, thigh and calf circumference and in endomorphy, mesomorphy and ectomorphy components. The most common type of injure was twist of ankle and the most common shortening was knee flexors and wrist flexors.
