Working conditions of nurses in intensive care unit

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se zabývám hodnocením pracovních podmínek všeobecných sester na jednotce intenzivní péče. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit, jak sestry, pracující na tomto oddělení, hodnotí svoji práci z hlediska psychické a fyzické zátěže. Dalším cílem je posoudit faktory pracovního prostředí, které mohou působit na zdraví sester. Teoretická část je zaměřena na psychickou a fyzickou zátěž sester, do které patří zátěžové situace na pracovišti (stres), přetěžování organismu, rizikové faktory pracovního prostředí, ale také na zdravotní důsledky psychické a fyzické zátěže na sestru. V praktické části hodnotím anonymní standardizované dotazníky SLIC s cílem získat představu o tom, jak sestry na jednotkách intenzivní péče ve vybraných nemocnicích vnímají pracovní podmínky a svou psychickou a fyzickou pracovní zátěž.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the evaluation of working conditions of nurses at intensive care unit (ICU). The main goal is to find out how, nurses working in ICU, percieve their work in terms of mental and physical strain. Another goal is to determine those factors of the working enviroment which can affect their health. The theoretical part focuses on mental and physical stress of nurses. That includes stress at work, excessive workload, risk faktors of the working enviroment, but also the possible consequences of these factors on their health. The practical part deals with results of anonymous standardized SLIC questionnaires in order of finding out, how nurses in intensive care units percieve their working conditions and their psychological and physical workload.
