Abstract:

Práce „Pravda a lež reality a fikce“ ukazuje na příkladech dvou knihy rozdílných žánrů, jakými způsoby může beletrie plnit funkci reprezentace identity. Skrze diskurzní analýzu relevantních textů práce především mapuje požadavky na autenticitu knih a autorů, jak jsou vyjednávány ve veřejném prostoru. V obou analyzovaných případech byla zpochybněna autenticita autora. Román Bílej kůň, žlutej drak(2009) drak byla identifikována jako první literární reprezentace vietnamské minority v České republice, než vyšlo najevo, že autorkou není debutující Vietnamka, ale bílý spisovatel. Biografie Fragmenty (1995) získala ve druhé polovině devadesátých let pozornost v západní Evropě a USA jako popis kruté zkušenosti holocaustu, později se ukázalo, že Binjamin Wilkomirski si popisované události vymyslel. V první části práce autorka shrnuje, jak funguje v evropské kultuře literatura jako reprezentace identity a kolektivní paměti a proč je v postmoderní době kladen důraz na vyjádření partikulárních identit a jejich uznání. Obě knihy popisují kulturní trauma skupin (šoa a xenofobii), které může být základem politiky uznání. Vyjednávání autenticity obou textů se ale mění podle toho, jak jsou kulturní traumata definována a zda mají reprezentaci Po zpochybnění autenticity se rozvinula komplexní debata o novém čtení knih. Pro část relevantních čtenářů (kritici, historici)ztratily texty a autoři relevanci jako reprezentace traumatu na základě faktických nesrovnalostí. V obou případech ale deklarovaly reprezentace popisovaných skupin, že i neautentický autor je může reprezentovat- pokud dokáže vyjádřit jejich traumatické zkušenosti. Práce ukázala, jak je funkce literatura jako reprezentace identity vyjednávaná a jak mohou být její hranice posunovány.

Abstract:

The work “Truth and lie of reality and fiction” uses two stories of various genres to show the way how fiction can function as a representation of identity. The work maps, through the discourse analysis, the demands on the authenticity of the stories and the authors in the way they are settled by public. In both analyzed examples the authenticity of the author was debunked, and this inevitably led to questioning the representativeness of the whole text. The novel Bílej kůň, žlutej drak (2009) was perceived as the first literary representation of Vietnamese minority in the Czech republic until the author turned out not to be a Vietnamese making her debut but a white author. The biography Fragments: Memories of a Wartime Childhood gained a considerable amount of attention in Western Europe and the USA in the nineties. The memoirs by Binjamin Wilkomirski recording his cruel experiences from concentration camps were later exposed as a fraud. In the first part of this thesis the author summarizes the function of literature as a representation of identity and collective memory in European culture and points out the reason of placing emphasis on expressing and accepting particular identities in the postmodern era. Both books describe the cultural trauma of collectives (shoah and xenophobia) which can be the basis of articulation politics of recognition. After debunking the authenticity of the texts, the complex debate about new perception of books flourished. Part of the scholarly audience abandoned the texts and the authors for lacking the relevance as representations of trauma due to their factual inconsistency. However, in both cases the representations of particular groups declared that even a non-authentic author can represent them in case he/she can express their traumatic experiences. The work has proved that the function of literature as a representation of identity can be discussed and shifted.
