Educational needs of selected drop in centres for children and youth

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na pracovníky a klienty nízkoprahových zařízení pro děti a mládež v Sokolově a v Ústí nad Labem. V teoretické části je definována charakteristika, poslání, cíle a cílová skupina nízkoprahových zařízení pro děti a mládež. Jsou zde vymezeny základní služby a metody práce s klienty zařízení, dále jsou charakterizována dvě odlišná nízkoprahová zařízení. V první části práce jsou uvedeny profese pracující s klienty v nízkoprahových zařízeních pro děti mládež a také popis práce se sociálně znevýhodněnými dětmi. Na konci teoretické části je zmíněna problematika sociálního vyloučení a sociálně patologických jevů. Praktická část je věnována vlastnímu kvalitativnímu a kvantitativnímu výzkumu, který byl realizován s pracovníky a klienty nízkoprahového zařízení pro děti a mládež Nový svět v Ústí nad Labem a Půda v Sokolově. Je zde obsažen popis výzkumného vzorku, způsob jeho pořízení a průběh výzkumu. Tento výzkum je zaměřen především na potřebnost pedagoga v těchto nízkoprahových zařízeních a na vzdělávací činnosti klientů v zařízení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on workers and clients of the centres for children and youth in Sokolov and Ústí nad Labem. In the theoretical section, the characteristics, mission, objectives and the focus group of the centres for children and youth are defined. There are essential services and methods of working with the clients of these institutions specified, then, there are two different centres for children and youth characterized. In the first part of the thesis, professions working with clients of the centres for children and youth are stated, as well as, description of the work with socially disadvantaged children. At the end of the theoretical section, there are issues relating to social segregation and features of social pathology mentioned. The research section is devoted to the actual quantitative and qualitative research, which was realized together with the workers and clients of the centres for children and youth the Nový svět in Ústí nad Labem and the Půda in Sokolov. Here, the description of the research sample, methods of acquiring and the process of the research are included. This research is particularly aimed to the necessity of an educationalist in these centres and to learning activities of the clients in the centre.
