Fake news - (not) believe to media

Abstract:

Práce reaguje na stav českého mediálního prostoru, který je často plný dezinformací. Strukturu práce tvoří teoretická a empirická část. Část teoretická je zaměřena obecně na problematiku fake news, hoaxů či propagandy v souvislosti s médii. Dále se věnuje i mediální výchově ve formálním vzdělávání nebo portálům, které odhalují lživé informace. Empirická část je založena na výzkumu, který vychází z dotazníkového šetření. Studie zkoumá mediální vzdělanost české dospělé populace. Cílem je zjistit, zda respondenti dokáží rozeznat fake news nebo hoax a podle jakých faktorů usuzují pravdivost zpráv. Dále se zabývám vlivem pohlaví či věku na důvěru k médiím.

Abstract:

This is in response to the situation of the Czech media space, which is often full of fake news. The structure of these forms a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part is generally focused on the issues of fake news, hoaxes or propaganda in connection with the media. The theoretical part of the thesis characterises media education in formal education or portals that uncover false information. The empirical part is based on sources via the use of a public survey. The Survey analyses the education of the Czech adult population. The aim of the thesis is to conclude on whether the respondents can recognize fake news or hoaxes, and to be able to judge the reliability of the news.The empirical part describes the influence of gender or age on trust of the Czech adult population in the media.
