Crisis Intervention at the Police of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývala problematikou krizové intervence u Policie České republiky. Cíle práce bylo zodpovědět hlavní výzkumnou otázku: „Jak policisté vnímají svou připravenost k poskytování krizové intervence při oznamování traumatizujících událostí?“ Práce byla rozdělena na dvě základní části, teoretickou a metodologickou. Teoretickou část tvořily tři stěžejní oblasti, které obsahovaly důležité pojmy týkající se výzkumného tématu. Za pomoci odborné literatury a informačních zdrojů byly, v první části, vymezeny náročné životní situace a ve druhé části byla charakterizována krizová intervence. Třetí teoretická část vystihovala Policii České republiky s popisem systému psychologické pomoci poskytovaným Policií České republiky a s deskripcí vnímání a připravenosti policistů k poskytování pomoci veřejnosti. Metodologická část byla zaměřena empiricky, kdy za pomoci rozhovorů s policisty vybraného krajského ředitelství policie bylo zjišťováno, i s ohledem na existující systém psychologické pomoci u Policie České republiky, jak policisté vnímají svou připravenost k poskytování krizové intervence a jakým způsobem přistupují k danému tématu. Komparací rozhovorů byly zjištěny informace, které posloužily ke stanovení závěru, odpovědi na hlavní výzkumnou otázku a vyústily v navrhovaná opatření. Smyslem navrhovaných opatření bylo vyhledat optimální a kvalifikované zajištění či zabezpečení poskytování krizové intervence veřejnosti ze strany policie.

Abstract:

This dissertation deals with problems of the crisis intervention at the Police of the Czech Republic. The dissertation target consists in a reply to the main research issue: "How do policemen perceive their readiness for providing the crisis intervention during enunciating crushing events?" The work has been divided into two basic parts, namely the theoretic and methodological one. The theoretic part consists of three fundamental topics containing important term relating to the research subject. There have been determined complicated situations in life in the first part and crisis intervention in the second part by means of the special literature and information resources. The third theoretic part has described the Police of the Czech Republic including the psychological support system providing by the Police of the Czech Republic along with descriptions of the perception and readiness of policemen for providing help to the general public. The methodological part has been focused on empirical evidence, when by means of policemen from a selected Regional Police Directorate there has been found out how the policemen feel their readiness for providing the crisis intervention and in what a way they are approaching the given subject even in reference to the existing system of the psychological support at the Police of the Czech Republic. By means of the comparing interviews there has been found information to the determination of the conclusion, i.e., the reply to the main research issue, and which has led to proposed measures. The purpose of the proposed measures consists in finding an optimal and competent securing or safeguard in reference to providing the crisis intervention to the general public on the part of the police.
