Environmentally responsible behavior of consumer : A comparison of the Czech Republic and Kazakhstan

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu environmentálně odpovědného spotřebitelského chování v České republice a Kazachstánu. Hlavním cílem bylo zjistit úroveň ekologicky odpovědného chování českých a kazašských spotřebitelů. K dosažení tohoto cíle byly rovněž studovány motivy, bariéry a znalost ekoznaček spotřebitelů v obou zemích. Sběr dat probíhal pomocí online dotazníku, který byl proveden ve dvou jazycích (čeština a ruština) a zúčastnilo se ho 222 respondentů. Získaná data byla zkontrolována pomocí metody chí-kvadrát za účelem zjištění vztahu mezi vybranými proměnnými a environmentálně odpovědným chováním. V důsledku toho měli čeští a kazašští respondenti stejné odpovědi na environmentální problémy a projevy odpovědnosti k životnímu prostředí. Zatímco motivy, které je pohánějí, bariéry, které jim brání v ekologické odpovědnosti, a faktory ovlivňující výběr produktů byly různé.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is devoted to the topic of environmentally responsible consumer behavior in the Czech Republic and Kazakhstan. The main goal of this thesis is determine the level of environmentally responsible behavior of Czech and Kazakh consumers. To achieve this goal, their motives, barriers and knowledge of consumer eco-labels in both countries were also examined. Data collection was carried out using an online questionnaire, which was conducted in two languages (Czech and Russian) and was attended by 222 respondents. The findings were checked using the chi-square method to determine the relationship between the selected variables and environmentally responsible behavior. As a result, respondents from the Czech Republic and Kazakhstan had the same answers to environmental issues and environmental responsibility. Although the motives that drive them, the obstacles preventing them from being responsible for the environment, and the factors influencing their choice of product were different.
