The Humour in the Language of Facebook

Abstract:

The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part the concept of humour is introduced from the philosophical and linguistic points of view. The theoretical part also contains methodology of humour division into the partial subgroups and ends with a description of the function of the Internet language. The practical part consists of three chapters which on the basis of direct demonstrations elaborate the individual aspects of humor presented in the theoretical part. The theme of this thesis is the humour in the Facebook language. Through the research of different Facebook discussions a corpus containing some particular demonstrations of popular humour was made. Those demonstrations were subsequently analyzed in the practical part.

Abstract:

Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. V teoretické části je představen koncept humoru z hlediska filosofického i lingvistického. Teoretická část dále obsahuje metodiku dělení humoru na dílčí podskupiny a končí popisem fungování jazyka na internetu. Praktická část se skládá z tří kapitol, které na podkladě přímých ukázek rozpracovávají jednotlivé aspekty humoru představené v teoretické části. Tématem této diplomové práce je humor v jazyce na facebooku. Rozborem rozličných fór a diskuzí na facebooku vznikl korpus obsahující jednotlivé ukázky populárního humoru. Tyto ukázky byly posléze v praktické analýze rozpracovány.
