Role of Japan in the G7 in the 21st Century

Abstract:

Skupina G7, sdružující vybrané ekonomicky nejvyspělejší státy, sehrála v posledních čtyřech dekádách vlivnou roli v globální politice a ekonomice. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou členství Japonska v G7 za účelem vymezení aktuálních rolí Japonska v této neformální mezinárodní organizaci. První kapitola poskytuje teoretický rámec zahraniční politiky, mezinárodních organizací a charakterizuje skupinu G7. Druhá kapitola stručně charakterizuje zahraniční politiku Japonska a třetí kapitola ji srovnává s obecnou politikou G7 a analyzuje japonskou zahraniční politiku 21. století v G7.

Abstract:

The Group of Seven bringing together selected economically advanced states has played an influential role in global politics and economy in the last four decades. This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of Japan's G7 membership in order to define the current roles of Japan in this informal international organization. The first chapter provides a theoretical framework of foreign policy, international organizations, and characterizes the G7. The second chapter briefly characterizes the foreign policy of Japan, and the third chapter compares it with the general policy of the G7 and analyzes the Japanese foreign policy of the 21st century in the G7.
