Managing Korean companies in the Czech business environment

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá způsobem řízení korejských firem působících v České republice. Hlavním cílem je charakterizovat korejský styl řízení, srovnat ho s českým stylem řízení a poskytnout doporučení pro obě strany týkající se zlepšení vzájemné spolupráce. Teoretická část představuje strategie mezinárodních firem, teoretické modely kulturních rozdílů, korejský manažerský styl a český manažerský styl. Praktická část vychází z osobních rozhovorů s korejskými pracovníky v České republice. Výstupem práce je srovnání českého a korejského stylu řízení, práce a komunikace s následnou formulací návrhů na zlepšení spolupráce mezi oběma stranami.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with managing Korean companies operating in the Czech Republic. The principal goal of the thesis is to characterize Korean management style, compare it with Czech management style and create a set of recommendations for both parties in order to improve their collaboration. The theoretical part introduces strategies of multinational companies, theoretical models related to cultural differences, Czech management style, and Korean management style. Based on personal interviews, the thesis outlines the differences between Korean and Czech management style, working style, and communication. A set of recommendations related to improving collaboration between the two parties follows.
