The English Teacher ’s competences at the Vocational Schools

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je „Kompetence učitele anglického jazyka na středních odborných školách“. Jedná se o téma, které je v současné době velice aktuální v oblasti vzdělávání. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na popis základních pojmů vztahujících se k tématu bakalářské práce: definice učitele, kvalifikace, kvalifikovanost, kvalita učitele, profesní kompetence učitele, kompetenční profil (standard) učitele. Empirická část bakalářské práce představuje zrealizovaný průzkum a popis náslechových hodin na vybraných středních odborných školách, kde jsou sledovány kompetence učitele anglického jazyka. Dílčím cílem je zjistit stav aprobovanosti učitelů v oboru výuky anglického jazyka na středních odborných školách a rovněž zjistit, zda je kvalifikace učitele schopna zajistit i kvalifikovanost a do jaké míry.

Abstract:

The theme of the thesis is „The English Teacher’s competences at the Vocational schools“. It is a current topic in today’s education system. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the basic concepts related to the bachelor’s thesis (Qualification, professional qualification, the quality of teachers, the teacher’s professional competences, the competence profile (standard) of teachers). The empirical part of the thesis shows the implemented research which was carried out using the descriptive methodology of lesson in chosen vocational schools, where the focus is on the teachers competences. The operational objective is to determine what is the qualifications of the English teachers in the vocational schools and if the qualifications is capable to ensure professional qualification and to which extend.
