Transmutation

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je složena ze dvou částí. V první části se zabývám kritikou hudebně vzdělávacího diskurzu a literatury pro bicí nástroje. Mezi hlavními problémy, které v této části zmiňuji je přehnaná kategorizace hudby, která je definována na základě arbitrárních kriterií. Dalším problémem je opakované využívání, v principu identických, cvičení napříč hudebními publikacemi. Dále samotný způsob psaní cvičení, který je zaměřen na kvantitu a rudimentární vypsání všech možných variací namísto vysvětlení principů za těmito tématy a vybídnutí čtenáře ke kreativní práci a tvorbě cvičení vlastních. V druhé části práce se budu věnovat vlastnímu přístupu k hudebnímu vzdělání a představím svou metodu tvorby hudebních prostředků nazvanou “Transmutace“. Metoda stojí na principech individualismu a aktivní participace čtenáře. Podkladem k této metodě jsou závěry z první části práce a vlastní zkušenosti získané během mých bakalářských studií, soukromých konzultací a praxí.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is composed of two parts. In the first part, I address the criticism of the discourse on music education and literature for percussion instruments. Among the main problems I mention in this section are the exaggerated categorization of music, which is defined based on arbitrary criteria. Another issue is the repeated use of, in principle identical, exercises across music publications. Additionally, the method of writing exercises is focused on quantity and rudimentary listing of all possible variations instead of explaining the principles behind these topics and encouraging readers to do creative work and create their own exercises. In the second part of the thesis, I will focus on my own approach to music education and present my method of creating musical means called "Transmutation". The method is based on the principles of individualism and active reader participation. The conclusions from the first part of the thesis and my own experiences gained during my bachelor's studies, private consultations, and practice form the basis of this method.
