„Disabilities“ and inclusion: Experiences of multiple bodies

Abstract:

V této práci bude mým cílem vykreslit obraz různých způsobů chápání "postižení" a ukázat různé přístupy k tomuto tématu prostřednictvím bibliografického výzkumu, rozhovorů s různými společenskými aktéry a příkladů z mé zkušenosti dobrovolníka v nadaci, která se zabývá tématy inkluze a postižení. Chtěl bych položit otázku, zda naše vnímání "postižení" vychází z našeho chápání toho, co je normativní, a navrh-nout možnost posunu v našem vnímání normativity jako možný způsob, jak přistu-povat k "postižení" inkluzivnějším způsobem, kdy by mohlo být vnímáno jako "jiná schopnost".

Abstract:

In this thesis, my objective will be to paint the picture of different ways of under-standing „disability“ and to show various approaches to the topic through biblio-graphical research, interviews with different social actors and examples from my experience as a volunteer in a foundation that deals with the topics of inclusion and disability. I would like to propose a question, whether our perception of „disability“ is based on our understanding of what is normative and suggest the possibility of a shift in our perception of normativity as a possible way to approach „disability“ in a more inclusive way, where it could be seen as a “different ability”.
