Práce se zabývá postavením a roli Tchaj-wanu uprostřed čínsko-americké rivality. Byla prozkoumat jednotlivá prezidentská období Tchaj-wanu od roku 2000 a zmapována proměna nálady obyvatelstva a vedení politiky k USA a ČLR. Abstract:
The thesis examines the status and role of Taiwan in the midst of Sino-American rivalry. The various presidential terms of Taiwan since 2000 have been examined and the changing mood of the population and the political leadership towards the US and the PRC have been mapped.
