Functions, Significance and the Usage of Libraries - A Theoretical Essay
Abstract:
Knihovny a informační instituce se řídí knihovním zákonem. Od roku 1919 byl změněn celkem třikrát. V jeho obsahu se odráží dobová politická situace i samotný vývoj oboru. Zejména rozvoj vědy a techniky přispěl ke změně poskytovaných služeb a ke změně tradičních knihovních fondů na fondy multimediální. Ovšem zásadní poslání těchto institucí přetrvává: umožnit komukoli přístup k informacím.
Abstract:
The libraries and information institutions are being governed by the Library Act which has been changed three times since 1919. Its contents has been influenced by the contemporary political situation and the development of the field itself.
