Costing system and its efficiency in a selected company

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se soustředí na problematiku Systému kalkulací a jeho efektivnosti ve vybraném podniku, přičemž analyzuje a hodnotí systém kalkulací nákladů ve vybraném podniku s cílem posouzení jeho efektivnosti a případných doporučení na zlepšení. Teoretická část se zabývá základními pojmy a charakteristikami týkající se kalkulací nákladů. Tato část zahrnuje pojetí a klasifikaci nákladů, které je nezbytné pro jejich systematickou identifikaci a řízení. Dále se zaměřuje na systém kalkulací včetně představení různých typů kalkulačních vzorců. Závěrem teoretické části jsou popsány jednotlivé druhy kalkulací a kalkulační metody. Praktická část se věnuje představení vybraného podniku zabývající se truhlářskou výrobou. Podnik je zde blíže charakterizován, a to jak z hlediska historického tak i současného vývoje včetně popisu jeho činnosti podnikání. V návaznosti je uvedeno seznámení se s organizační strukturou společnosti a taktéž analýza její ekonomické situace. Pro účely získání lepšího pochopení a seznámení se s výrobními činnostmi podniku je nedílnou součástí podrobný popis výrobků a procesu výroby, včetně strojního vybavení. Pro účely výpočtů je využíván vnitropodnikový ceník podniku, který je v práci detailně popsán a strukturován v rámci samostatné kapitoly. Klíčovým prvkem a především významnou částí této práce jsou výpočty provedené v rámci kalkulací s využitím kalkulačních metod následované porovnáním získaných výsledků. Po následném porovnání jednotlivých kalkulačních metod a zhodnocení jejich výhod či nevýhod v kontextu specifik zkoumaného podniku jsou závěrem formulovány návrhy a doporučení směřující k optimalizaci systémů kalkulací. Cílem uvedených doporučení je zlepšení efektivity a výkonnosti stávajícího systému kalkulací.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of Costing System and its efficiency in a selected company, whereas analyzing and evaluating the cost calculations system in the chosen enterprise with the aim of assessing its effectiveness and providing any recommendations for improvement. The theoretical part deals with basic concepts and characteristics pertaining to the cost calculations. This part includes the conception and classification of costs which are necessary for their systematic identification and management. It further focuses on the costing system, including the presentation of various types of calculation formulas. The conclusion of the theoretical part describes individually types of calculations and costing methods. The practical part is dedicated to the introduction the selected company dealing with carpentry production. The enterprise is there closer characterized in terms of both historical and current developments, including a description of its business activities. Following this, there is an introduction to the organizational structure of the company, and also an analysis of its economic situation. For the purposes of gaining a better understanding and familiarization with the company's production activities, a detailed description of the products and the production process, including machinery, is an integral part. For calculation purposes, the company's internal pricing list is utilized, which is thoroughly described and structured within a separate chapter of the thesis. A key element and, above all, a significant part of this thesis are calculations carried out within the cost calculations with using various calculation methods, followed by a comparison of the obtained results. After followed comparing the various calculation methods and evaluating their advantages or disadvantages in the context of the specificities of the examined company, recommendations and suggestions aimed at optimizing costing systems are formulated in conclusion. The goal of these recommendations is to improve the efficiency and performance of the existing costing system.
