The globalization of terrorism as a security risk for the European Union

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je analýzou rizik vycházejících z projevů globálního terorismu v Evropské unii (EU) určit nejnebezpečnější varianty pro bezpečnostní prostředí v EU a stanovit nejvhodnější variantu bezpečnostních opatření k minimalizaci rizik. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, kdy první část této práce je věnována platné legislativě vztahující se k řešené problematice a přehledu o stavu poznání řešené problematiky. Druhá část práce se zabývá analýzou a popisem projevů terorismu v Evropské unii. V rámci této části práce jsou analýzou rizik realizovaných projevů terorismu, následnou komparací zjištěných výsledků jak v celé EU, tak i v jednotlivých autorem určených regionech EU, definovány nejzávažnější projevy terorismu. Na základě provedené analýzy rizik a platných protiteroristických opatření v EU a také v neposlední řadě díky množství prozkoumaných odborných textů, jsou na závěr navržena efektivní opatření, která by mohla vést, dle názoru autora práce, ke snížení určených projevů globálního terorismu jak v rámci celé EU, tak i v rámci jednotlivých regionů Evropské unie.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine the most dangerous variants for the security environment in the EU by analyzing the risks arising from manifestations of global terrorism in the European Union (EU) and to determine the most suitable variant of security measures to minimize the risks. The work is divided into two parts, where the first part of this work is dedicated to the valid legislation related to the problem being solved and an overview of the state of knowledge of the problem being solved. The second part of the work deals with the analysis and description of manifestations of terrorism in the European Union. Within this part of the work, the most serious manifestations of terrorism are defined by analyzing the risks of realized manifestations of terrorism, and then comparing the results found both in the entire EU and in the individual regions of the EU determined by the author. On the basis of the performed risk analysis and valid anti-terrorist measures in the EU, as well as last but not least thanks to the number of researched professional texts, effective measures are proposed at the end, which could lead, in the opinion of the author of the work, to the reduction of the specified manifestations of global terrorism both within the EU as a whole , as well as within individual regions of the European Union.
