The return on the investment in education

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na studenty vysoké školy, především na jejich očekávání ohledně přínosu vzdělání v budoucím soukromém i profesním životě. Hlavním cílem této práce je vytvořit dotazníkové šetření, které bude odrážet pohnutky studentů, proč studují, kolik jsou ochotni do svého studia vložit peněz a jak vidí následné finanční navrácení vložené investice. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. Teoretická část se zabývá obecným vzděláváním, jeho vývojem od historie po současnost, rozdělením vzdělávání a v neposlední řadě definicemi investic a návratnosti investice. Je zde vymezena metodika práce, určeny dynamické metody, se kterými se počítá v praktické části a je zde vymezen výzkumný problém. V praktické části dojde k výpočtům, k porovnání ušlé mzdy v období studia v jednotlivých krajích, což by mělo zároveň odrážet skutečnost, kde se nejvíce vyplatí po ukončení studia pracovat. Jak již bylo řečeno, nejdůležitější částí je dotazníkové šetření, které je z většiny zaměřeno na studenty denního studia bakalářského programu a z menší části na studenty magisterského programu ekonomického směru (denní i dálkové studium).

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis is focused on college students, mostly about theirs expectations about benefits of education in future personal and career. Main goal of this thesis is to create survey which will reflect why students decided to go to college, how much money are they willing to spend and return of their investment after they finished college. My thesis is divided into two parts. Theoretical part is about education, its progress from history to the present, distribution of education and lastly but not last definition of investment and return on the investment. In theoretical part methodology of work is defined, dynamical methods are set which are used in practical part and research problem is defined. In practical part there are calculations compared to the lost wages during the study in various regions. It should show where is most efficient to start working after graduating. It has been written earlier – the most important part is survey. This survey is focused on daily bachelor students and smaller part of this survey is focused on master´s degrees in economics.
