The musical "Bernadette de Lourdes" in FLE class?

Abstract:

The presented diploma thesis deals with the use of the French musical comedy Bernadette de Lourdes in the teaching of the French. The aim of the thesis is to show that a musical comedy whose protagonist is a figure of the Catholic Church can stand as a suitable didactic material even for learners who they aren't embodied in this or any religion. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is further divided into four chapters. The first chapter presents st. Bernadette, her life and the context of the period in which she lived. In the following chapter fo-cuses on the city of Lourdes, specifically on appearance of Lourdes in the 19th centu-ry. The thesis subsequently describes the Marian apparition that led to the con-struction of the Sanctuary of the Our Lady of Lourdes. The attention is also paid to the contemporary significance of this pilgrimage site. The third chapter presents the musical comedy itself, its story, realization and the characteristics of the genre as such. The last chapter is devoted to the didactics of French as a foreign language. In the practical part represents the didactic project, in which specific activities and steps for implementation are proposed. At the end of the practical part, six didactic materi-als are offered, which are explained and described in more detail in the didactic pro-ject.

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá využitím francouzského muzikálu Bernadette de Lourdes ve výuce francouzského jazyka. Práce si klade za cíl ukázat, že muzikál, jehož protagonistkou je postava katolické církve, může obstát jako vhodný didaktický materiál i u žáků, kteří se nehlásí k tomuto nebo žádnému náboženství. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí – teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část je dále rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. V první z nich je představena postava sv. Bernadetty, její život a kontext doby, ve které žila. Následující kapitola se zaměřuje na město Lurdy, konkrétně na jeho podobu v 19. století, následně je popsána událost mariánského zjevení, která vedla k výstavbě lurdské svatyně. Pozornost je rovněž kladena na dnešní význam tohoto poutního místa. Třetí kapitola představuje samotný muzikál, jeho příběh, realizaci, i charakteristiku žánru jako takového. Poslední kapitola teoretické části je věnována didaktice francouzštiny jakožto cizího jazyka. Praktická část diplomové práce představuje vlastní didaktický projekt, ve kterém jsou navrženy konkrét-ní aktivity a kroky k realizaci. V závěru praktické části je nabídnuto 6 didaktických listů, které jsou blíže vysvětleny a popsány právě v didaktickém projektu.
