Multicultural education at secondary school

Abstract:

Anotace Bakalářská práce na téma „ Multikulturní výchova na střední škole“ se zabývá problémy Romů a dalších etnik na středních školách. První část je zaměřena na vymezení a vysvětlení pojmů, které se problematiky multikulturní výchovy přímo dotýkají. Druhá a třetí část je věnována historii Romů, jejich odlišné kultuře, způsobu začlenění do společnosti a běžného života, dále na vymezení úskalí při volbě povolání a popsání důvodů neúspěchu při hledání zaměstnání. Také je zdůrazněna funkce učitele při výchově a vzdělávání a je poukázáno na možnou cestu vzájemného pochopení pomocí složek jako je kultura. Čtvrtá část je zaměřena na průzkum vztahů jednotlivých tříd a ročníků, a to jak maturitních, tak i učňovských, jejich vzájemnému vyhodnocování a srovnávání s ohledem na věk a složení kolektivu.

Abstract:

Annotation: Bachelor work on the topic „Multicultural Education at a Secondary School“ deals with problems of the Romanies and other ethnic groups at secondary schools. The first part of the work is concentrated on defining and explanation of concepts directly conected with problems of multicultural education. The second and the third part is devoted to history of the Romanies, their different culture, to the way of their integration into the society and common life. Furthermore it defines difficulties with the choice of career and describes reasons of failure in seeking employment. The role of a teacher in a process of education is emphasized there as well as a possible way of mutual understanding through culture is shown there , too. The fourth part is concentrated on the research of relationship between classes and grades of students and apprentices, their evaluations and comparisons considerating their age and the composition of a collective.
