Speach therapy intervention in family enviroment

Abstract:

The Bachelor Thesis deals with Speech therapy intervention in family environment with preschool aged children. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first two chapters are theoretical and the last one incorporates a research project. The first chapter is focusing on communication and speech development phases of a child and it characterises the most common types of Communication disorders of preschool aged children. The second chapter is dealing with Speech therapy interventions, individual forms and aims of Speech therapy interventions, and classification and activities of speech therapist. In this chapter are also addressed possible communication strategies in support of child’s speech development in family environment. The aim of the research project was an analysis of parent’s intervention after they noticed the speech problems. The research has been conducted in quantitative form with the use of questionnaire and is complemented with qualitative inquiry of two case interpretations of children from Special kindergarden focused on children with mental disabilities and Communication disorders. The methodology of the research, description of location, research samples and analysis of own investigation are included here. The conclusion offers evaluation of research results and recommended proposals for praxis.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá logopedickou intervenciou v rodinnom prostredí u detí v predškolskom veku. Bakalárska práca je rozdelená do troch kapitol. Prvé dve kapitoly sú teoretické a tretia obsahuje výskumný projekt. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na komunikáciu a fázy vývoja reči dieťaťa a charakterizuje najčastejšie typy narušenej komunikačnej schopnosti u detí v predškolskom veku. Druhá kapitola sa venuje logopedickej intervencii, jednotlivým formám a cieľom logopedickej intervencie, klasifikácii a pôsobeniu logopéda. V tejto kapitole sú tiež popísané možnosti komunikačných stratégií na podporu rozvoja reči dieťaťa v rodinnom prostredí. Cieľom výskumnej časti bola analýza intervencie rodičov po spozorovaní problémov v reči dieťaťa. Výskum bol realizovaný kvantitatívnou formou s použitím vytvoreného dotazníka a je doplnený kvalitatívnym skúmaním dvoch kazuistík detí zo špeciálnej materskej školy zameranej na deti s mentálnym postihnutím a s narušenou komunikačnou schopnosťou. Je tu uvedená metodika výskumu, popis miesta a vzorky výskumu a analýza vlastného výskumu. V závere práce je hodnotenie výsledkov výskumu a odporúčané návrhy riešení pre prax.
