Implementation of database queries burdened with uncertainties on the platform MSSQL

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na problematiku konstrukce databáze na platformě MSSQL, která umožní realizaci fuzzy dotazů. První kapitoly jsou zaměřeny na základy tvorby klasických relačních databázových schémat a aplikaci fuzzy přístupu v oblasti koncepce databázových modelů. Nezbytnou součástí práce je popis a následné použití fuzzy logiky v prostředí relačních databází. Požadavky na fuzzy přístupy v oblasti konstrukce dotazů se velmi často odrážejí v úpravě ER modelu. Výsledkem této práce je navržený ER model, který zohledňuje potřebu integrovat fuzzy dotazování do cílové aplikace. Tento model je pak převeden na návrh konkrétní databázové aplikace, která umožňuje pracovat s vágní podobou databázových dotazů nad jinak diskrétními daty. Tento text by měl sloužit jako demonstrační příklad toho, jak je možné řešit fuzzy dotazování v relačních databázích.

Abstract:

This thesis explores the various aspects of designing an MSSQL-based database that will allow fuzzy querying. The initial chapters present the basics of designing traditional relational database structures and applying the fuzzy approach to database model concepts. The thesis also describes and applies the fuzzy logic in the environment of relational databases. Requirements for fuzzy approaches to query design are very often reflected in ER model modifications. The outcome of this thesis is an ER model design that considers the need to integrate fuzzy querying in the target application. This model is then transformed into the design of a specific database application that makes it possible to work with vague database queries over otherwise discrete data. This text should serve as a demonstrative example how fuzzy querying can be handled in relational databases.
