Estimating of Number of People in Students's Hall Based on Analysis of Time-Table from STAG

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá vztahem mezi vytížením jídelního zařízení Menza na Borech a rozvrhem studentů. V některých časech, zejména kolem dvanácté hodiny dopoledne, je tato jídelna přetížena a návštěvník tak musí dlouze čekat na výdej oběda. Úkolem této práce je vytvořit program, který odhaduje počet lidí v Menze během dne pomocí údajů ze STAGu a volitelných parametrů, které si může uživatel nadefinovat. Jelikož se jedná pouze o předpověď, je nutné ověřit, do jaké míry získané výsledky odpovídají skutečné zátěži v Menze.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the link between the busyness of the Menza on Bory Campus and the schedules of the students. At some times, especially around twelve in the afternoon, is the cafeteria overloaded and each boarder has to wait a long time to get his lunch. The objective of this thesis is to create a program which estimates the number of people in Menza during the day according to the data from the STAG system and some optional parameters defined by the user. As this is only a prediction, it is necessary to verify to what extent the results correspond to the real busyness of the Menza.
