Awareness of homeless women about social services in the capital city of Prague

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje bezdomovectví žen na území hlavního města Prahy, jejich potřebám a povědomí o sociálních službách. Cílem práce je zjistit příčiny, které vedou ke vzniku bezdomovectví u žen, jaké potřeby ženy bez domova mají, jaké sociální služby využívají a jaké kroky již podnikly ke zlepšení své situace. V práci jsou vymezeny pojmy bezdomovectví, typologii bezdomovectví, jeho příčiny a následky. Pozornost je zaměřena na bezdomovectví žen, specifika ženského bezdomovectví a potřeby žen bez domova. Pro výzkum byla zvolena metoda kvalitativního výzkumu a metodou sběru dat byl polostrukturovaný rozhovor vedený s ženami bez domova.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on women's homelessness in in the capital city of Prague, their needs and awareness of social services. The aim of the thesis is to find out the causes that lead to homelessness among women, what needs homeless women have, what social services they use and what steps they have already taken to improve their situation. The thesis defines the concepts of homelessness, the typology of homelessness, its causes and consequences. The focus is on women's homelessness, the specifics of women's homelessness and the needs of homeless women. Qualitative research method was chosen for the research and the method of data collection was semi-structured interview conducted with homeless women.
