Design of dashboards in the framework of business intelligence using the MMABP methodology

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá možnostmi vizualizace výkonnostních ukazatelů identifikovaných v rámci modelů procesní metodiky MMABP a Business intelligence. Hlavním cílem je výzkum efektivní cesty vizualizace ukazatele za použití navrženého postupu a vytvoření struktury výkonnostních dashboardů. Rešeršní část poskytuje obecný vhled do oblastí sledování výkonu podniku, procesního modelování a vizualizace dat. Dále práce pojednává o mnoha vizualizačních metodách, přes které lze výkonnostní ukazatele vizualizovat. Metodická část se zabývá provázáním procesní metodiky MMABP, Business intelligence a vizualizací dat. Výstupem je pracovní postup popisující kroky, jak správně a efektivně provést vizualizaci ukazatele a umístit jej na příslušnou úroveň výkonnostního dashboardu.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis examines the possibilities of visualizing key performance indicators identified within the models of the MMABP process methodology and Business intelligence. Main goal of this thesis is to research an effectively way of visualization of indicators using the proposed methodological framework and creation of the structure of performance dashboards. The literature review provides a general overview of the areas of process performance measurement, process modelling and data visualization. Furthermore, thesis discusses several visualization methods through which the key performance indicators can be visualized. The methodological section focuses on the integration of the MMABP methodology, Business Intelligence, and data visualization domains. The output is a methodological framework that describes the procedure for correctly and effectively conducting key performance indicator visualization and integrate them into the appropriate level of a performance dashboard.
