MNE subsidiary - role and strategy

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Pobočka nadnárodní společnosti – role a strategie“ je představit roli pobočky v rámci nadnárodní společnosti a zhodnotit vliv této role na tvorbu strategie pobočky. Teoretická část se nejdříve stručně věnuje nadnárodním společnostem. Následně jsou uvedeny role, které můţe pobočka zastávat, stejně jako strategie, podle které si určuje celkové směřování své činnosti. Spojitost mezi rolí a strategií pobočky je nastíněna před míru autonomie a kontroly, jenţ se líší podle jednotlivých rolí. Dále jsou představeny relevantní metody, které jsou aplikovány v praktické části k analýze rolí a strategie zvoleného podniku. Závěr praktické části se zabývá moţnostmi a omezeními v oblasti řízení pobočky, plynoucí z její role v rámci nadnárodní společnosti a navrhuje varianty řešení, které by odstranily zjištěné neefektivity.

Abstract:

The goal of the diploma thesis „ MNE subsidiary - role and strategy “ is to introduce the role of subsidiary in a multinational company and evaluate the impact of this role on the formation of its strategy. The theoretical part firstly introduces multinationals. Then follow given roles of subsidiaries, as well as strategies by which determine the overall direction of their activities. Continuity between roles and strategies outlined the subsidiary through autonomy and control, which varies according to individual roles. Next relevant methods are introduced that are applied in the practical part of the thesisto analyze roles and strategies of the selected company. Thesis also presents the relevant methods that are applied in a practical part to analyze the roles and strategy of the selected company. Practical part is concluded with possibilities and limitations of subsidiary strategic management, arising from its role within the multinational company and proposes alternative solutions that would eliminate the identified inefficiencies.
