Attitudes of Elementary School Teachers to the Issue of Psychosomatics

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou psychosomatiky, konkrétně pak postoji učitelů základních škol k této interdisciplinární oblasti. Cílem studie bylo zjistit, jak učitelé vnímají psychosomatiku a jaké k ní mají postoje a to prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí: teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část detailně rozebírá podstatu psychosomatiky včetně historie, hlavních směrů a častých onemocnění. Analyzuje také význam a různé typy postojů, role učitelů a základního vzdělávání. Praktická část práce se pak soustředí na konkrétní výzkumný problém a využívá kvantitativní metodu sběru dat prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření. Výsledky naznačují, že i když většina učitelů bere v úvahu vliv psychiky na zdraví, existují rozdíly v jejich vnímání rizika spojeného s psychosomatikou a v jejich osobních zkušenostech. Tato práce poukazuje také na rostoucí význam psychosomatiky v prostředí škol a poskytuje základ pro další výzkum a vývoj v této oblasti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of psychosomatics, specifically focusing on the attitudes of primary school teachers towards this interdisciplinary field. The aim of the study was to determine how teachers perceive psychosomatics and what attitudes they hold towards it through a questionnaire survey. The thesis is divided into two main parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part provides an in-depth analysis of the essence of psychosomatics, including its history, main approaches, and common diseases. It also examines the significance and various types of attitudes, the role of teachers, and primary education. The practical part of the thesis then focuses on a specific research problem and utilizes a quantitative method of data collection through a questionnaire survey. The results indicate that although most teachers take into account the influence of psychology on health, there are differences in their perception of the risks associated with psychosomatics and in their personal experiences. This work also highlights the growing importance of psychosomatics in the school environment and provides a basis for further research and development in this area.
