The symbolism and meaning of tattoos right-wing extremists in Brno

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice významu a symboliky tetování u extremistů, kdy je specifikována na pravicový extremismus, a zúžená na město Brno. Cílem této práce je shrnutí faktů o historii tetování a vývoji pravicového extremismu v České republice. Dále se věnuje vyhodnocení symboliky a významu tetování pravicových extremistů a popisuje využití znalostí symboliky tetování v policejní praxi. Teoretická část práce se věnuje problematice tetování, je zaměřena na jeho historii, druhy, techniky a význam. Druhá kapitola se věnuje symbolice tetování a je zaměřena na pravicový extremismus, kde jsou specifikovány jednotlivé kategorie tetování. Třetí kapitola je zaměřena na problematiku extremismu, kde je specifikován rozdíl mezi levicovým a pravicovým extremismem. Dále se hlouběji věnuje historii vzniku pravicových extremistických uskupení, to i v rámci České republiky. Praktická část práce je vedena jako kvalitativní, formou řízeného rozhovoru. Rozhovor bude veden s 8 pravicovými extremisty z města Brna. Průzkum tak vysvětluje význam jejich tetování, a tyto získané údaje porovnává se zjištěnými poznatky z dostupné literatury.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis addresses the issue of significance and symbolism of tattoo in extremists, while it is specialized on right-wing extremism and narrowed to the city Brno. The aim of this work is to summarize facts about the history of tattoo and the progression of right-wing extremism in Czech Republic. The thesis further deals with evaluation of symbolism and significance of tattoo of right-wing extremists and describes the use of tattoo symbolism in police practice. The theoretical part of the thesis addresses the problematics of a tattoo, it is focused on its history, types, techniques and meaning. The second chapter addresses symbolism of tattoo and is focused on right-wing extremism, in which the individual categories of tattoos are specified. The third chapter is focused on the problematics of extremism, in which the difference between left-wing and right-wing extremism is specified. Furthermore, it focuses deeper on the history of origin of right-wing extremist groups, even within the Czech Republic. The practical part of the thesis is conducted as qualitative in the form of a guided interview. The interview will be led with 8 right-wing extremists from the city Brno. The research clarifies the meaning of their tattoos and this acquired data compares with findings acquired from available literature.
