Artistic activity the Choir of Masaryk University

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na uměleckou činnost Pěveckého sboru Masarykovy univerzity od jeho vzniku až po současnost. Zmiňuje obecné informace o sboru, o jeho základním dělení a o pozitivním vlivu zpěvu na člověka. Dále se věnuje historii sboru, jeho vzniku, úspěchům, koncertům, sborovému repertoáru a samotnému sbormistrovi, MgA. Michalu Vajdovi. Kromě toho se zaobírá způsoby a typy rozezpívání sboru a základním postupem při nácviku nových skladeb z pohledu sboristy. Obsahuje také informace z průzkumu, který se zabývá spokojeností sboristů v tělese.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on activities of The Choir of Masaryk University from its beginning until this day. The work mentions general information about the Choir, about its basic parts and about the positive influence singing has on man. The following part focuses on the history of the Choir, its constitution, achievements, concerts and repertoire as well as the choirmaster MgA. Michal Vajda. In addition, the work talks about the ways singers warm up their vocal chords before singing and about rehearsing new song from a singer’s point of view. The thesis contains also results from a survey which asked the members how content they are in the Choir.
