Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá problematikou zavedenia periférneho žilového katétra a tvorbou edukačného audiovizuálneho výstupu práce. Teoretická časť sa venuje edukácii v zdravotníctve, súčasnému periférnemu žilovému katétru, ošetrovateľskému postupu a rizikám spojených so žilovou katetrizáciou.
