Teaching mushrooms using 3D models

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá využitím 3D modelů hub ve výuce přírodopisu na základní škole. Cílem práce je navrhnout výuku s využitím 3D modelů hub, zanalyzovat její účinnost a využitelnost v praxi a porovnat s konvenčním způsobem výuky tohoto tématu. K dosažení tohoto cíle je v rámci teoretické části prezentována teorie hub, kurikulární dokumenty – Rámcový vzdělávací program pro ZV, Školní vzdělávací program vybrané školy a některé učebnice využívané pro výuku na ZŠ. V praktické části práce jsou stanovena kritéria pro výběr vhodných zástupců hub pro tisk na 3D tiskárně. Dále je zde navržena výuka s využitím 3D modelů hub pro experimentální skupinu žáků a výuka s využitím klasických 2D pomůcek pro kontrolní skupinu žáků. Taktéž obsahuje nástroj vhodný k analýze dosažené úrovně poznatků u obou skupin – test. Na základě dat shromážděných po realizaci výuky je vyhodnocena úroveň poznatků žáků obou skupin, tyto výsledky jsou mezi sebou porovnány a je zhodnocena účinnost využití 3D modelů hub ve výuce. Zjištěné výsledky jsou diskutovány s dalšími studiemi a jsou navrženy vhodné úpravy návrhu.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the use of 3D models of mushrooms in teaching biology at primary school. The aim of the thesis is to design a tuition using 3D models of mushrooms, to analyze its effectiveness and usability in practice and to compare it with the conventional way of teaching this topic. To achieve this goal, the theoretical part presents the theory of fungi, curriculum documents – Framework Educational Programme for Primary School, School Educational Programme of selected school and some textbooks used for teaching at primary school. In the practical part of the thesis, criteria for selecting suitable representatives of fungi for printing on a 3D printer are established. It also proposes teaching using 3D models of mushrooms for an experimental group of pupils and teaching using classical 2D tools for a control group of pupils. It also includes a tool suitable for analysing the level of knowledge achieved by both groups – a test. Based on the data collected after the implementation of the lessons, the level of knowledge of the pupils of both groups is evaluated, these results are compared and the effectiveness of the use of 3D models of mushrooms in teaching is evaluated. The findings are discussed with other studies and appropriate modifications are suggested.
