Abstract:
Primárním účelem této bakalářské práce bude analyzovat, jak slova italského původu ovlivnila anglickou slovní zásobu. Jejím cílem bude také prozkoumat vztah mezi italským a anglickým jazykem. Analýza se zaměří na přibližné období a okolnosti získání daných přejatých slov v angličtině. Práce se také bude zabývat historickým pozadím kontaktu mezi těmito dvěma jazyky.
Abstract:
The primary purpose of this thesis is to analyse how words of Italian origin influenced the vocabulary of English. It also aims to explore the relationship between the Italian and English languages. The analysis is focused on the approximate period and circumstances of the acquisition by English of certain borrowed words.
