Cryptocurrency Taxation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „zdanění kryptoměn“ je zaměřena na zdanění příjmu plynoucí ze směny kryptoměn. Práce obsahuje ekonomickou, technologickou a právní podstatu kryptoměn, podrobnou analýzu zdanění kryptoměn v České republice ve srovnání s přístupy zdanění příjmů plynoucí z kryptoměn ve Spojených státech amerických, Kanadě, El Salvador, Austrálii, Francii, Německu, Spojeném království, Japonsku, Jižní Korei a Číně. Dle provedené komparace byly vyznačeny zásadní rozdíly v daňových úpravách. V neposlední řadě byly navrhnuta doporučení změny právní úpravy zdanění kryptoměn v České republice.

Abstract:

The thesis "Taxation of Cryptocurrencies" focuses on the taxation of income derived from the exchange of cryptocurrencies. The thesis includes the economic, technological and legal nature of cryptocurrencies, a detailed analysis of the taxation of cryptocurrencies in the Czech Republic in comparison with the approaches to taxation of income derived from cryptocurrencies in the United States of America, Canada, El Salvador, Australia, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea and China. According to the comparisons made, major differences in tax treatment were highlighted. Last but not least, recommendations were proposed for changes in the legal regulation of cryptocurrency taxation in the Czech Republic.
