Alzheimer's disease and quality of family life

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je kvalita života rodin, ve kterých se nachází člen s Alzheimerovou chorobou. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části teoretickou a výzkumnou. V teoretické části zmiňuji demenci, Alzheimerovu chorobu, pojem kvality života a kvalitu života pečujících osob a celé rodiny a v neposlední řadě také typy sociálních služeb, které jsou pro tyto rodiny pomocí. Výzkumná část je zaměřena na členy rodiny, ve které se nachází osoba s Alzheimerovou chorobou a nyní je umístěna v rezidenčním zařízení. Cílem je zjistit kvalitu života pečujících osob, k jakým změnám v životě pečujících osob došlo, jak jsou spokojeny se svým životem, jaké jsou jejich rodinné vztahy a jaká je situace po umístění člena do rezidenčního zařízení.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the quality of life of families in which there is a member with Alzheimer's disease. The work is separated in two parts the theoretical one and the practical one. In the theoretical part, I mention dementia, Alzheimer's disease, the concept of the quality of life, the quality of life of caregivers and whole families, and also several types of social services which are used by these families. The research part is focused on members of families in which there is a patient with Alzheimer's disease and he or she has been placed into a residential facility. The aim is to determine the quality of life of caregivers, possible changes in life of caregivers, satisfaction with their lives, relationships in such families and their situation after placing the member with Alzheimer´s disease into a residential facility.
