Predictive models for neoadjuvant chemotherapy response in patients with breast cancer
Abstract:
V této bakalářské práci se věnujeme možnosti využití publikovaných genových modulů pro předpověď odpovědi pacientů trpících rakovinou prsu na neo-adjuvantní chemoterapii. Naším cílem je nalézt spolehlivé prediktory pro každý z pěti molekulárních podtypů rakoviny prsu. Tato práce má výzkumný charakter, jelikož genové podpisy odpovídající tomuto účelu zatím nebyly publikovány.
Abstract:
In this thesis we study the possibility of predicting response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients suffering from breast cancer using published gene modules. Our aim to devise reliable predictors for each one of five intrinsic subtypes of breast cancer. Since gene signatures suiting this purpose have not been yet published, the nature of this thesis is exploratory.
