Literary bases of Czech folk music

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je nahlédnout na tvorbu českých písničkářů, kteří vstoupili do kulturního života v 60. letech 20. století, zhodnotit jejich přínos pro českou kulturu a sledovat vývoj folku z literárního hlediska. V úvodu práce se seznámíme s kontextem folku a folkové písně jak u nás, tak v zahraničí. Poté ve stručnosti představíme čtyři folkové písničkáře a pokusíme se o charakteristiku jejich tvorby. Seznámíme se s jejich životem a poté s vybranými skladbami z jejich tvorby. U každého se zaměříme i na vztah mezi jeho uměleckou produkci a literaturou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis presents Czech folk songwriters, who have been in cultural awareness since 1960s and their works. The aim of this thesis is to assess the benefits of their works for music culture and to present the development of folk music from the literary point of view. Folk music background and folk songs from inland and outland are presented in the beginning of the thesis. Four chosen folk singers and songwriters are introduced in the next part of thesis. Thesis presents both their personal information and selected parts of their works. Each work is examined in context with folk literature.
