Tools of social work in the practice of the body of social and legal protection of children from the perspective of social workers

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je pohled sociálních pracovníků na nástroje sociální práce orgánu sociálně právní ochrany dětí v praxi. Zavedení nástrojů přinesla novela zákona o sociálně-právní ochraně dětí, která nabyla účinnosti dne 1.1.2013. Přestože od zavedení nástrojů do praxe uplynulo již deset let, jejich použití je stále velkým tématem pro řadu sociálních pracovníků. Práce je rozdělena do několika kapitol. V teoretické části uvádí výčet základních pojmů, stručně popisuje systém sociálně-právní ochrany dětí v České republice, zabývá se popisem jednotlivých zákonných nástrojů a kompetencemi sociálního pracovníka. Výzkum diplomové práce je realizován kvalitativní výzkumnou metodou pomocí zakotvené teorie. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit a popsat zkušenosti sociálních pracovníků s nástroji sociální práce orgánu sociálně právní ochrany dětí v praxi.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis aims to capture the perspective of social workers on social-work-related tools used by the entity responsible for providing social and legal protection for children in practice. The introduction of such tools was brought about by the Act on Social and Legal Protection of Children, which came into effect on January 1st, 2013. Though their implementation took place a decade ago, the practical use of the tools remains to be seen as a prevalent topic among social workers. The thesis itself is divided into multiple chapters. Its theoretical part presents a list of basic terms, provides a description of the system of the social and legal protection of children in the Czech Republic, and it is also concerned with illustrating individual legal mechanisms as well as giving an account of the competencies of social workers. The practical part of the thesis, the research, is carried out by qualitative research method using grounded theory. The aim of the thesis is to identify and describe the experience of social workers with the tools of social work as used by the institutions of the social and legal protection of children in practice.
