Financing of Cultural Monument Preservation

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce Financování ochrany kulturních památek je současná situace financování ochrany kulturních památek v České republice a její analýza. První část stručně definuje klíčové pojmy, shrnuje příslušnou legislativu a popisuje mechanismy financování kulturních památek zejména v rámci státní památkové péče, zmiňuje ale i jiné možné zdroje finančních prostředků. Druhá část nabízí konkrétní případovou studii správy a financování jedné z kulturních památek na našem území – kostela sv. Jiří v Klentnici. Na základě první (teoretické) a druhé (praktické) části pak část třetí z různých hledisek analyzuje a kriticky hodnotí popsanou situaci financování kulturních památek a navrhuje možné či přímo žádoucí změny dotační politiky, legislativy nebo postojů zúčastněných subjektů.

Abstract:

The topic of my diploma thesis with the title Financing of Cultural Monuments Preservation is a description and analysis of the contemporary situation in the financing of the preservation of cultural monuments in the Czech Republic. The first part gives the basic definitions of the key terms used in the field, it summarises the relevant legislation and depicts the mechanisms of the financing of cultural monuments. The second part gives a case-study of the administration and financing of a chosen cultural monument in our country – St. George’s Church in Klentnice. Based on the first (theoretical) and the second (practical) part, the third part of the thesis contains a critical analysis of the financing of cultural monuments and gives recommendations in relation to the possible and necessary changes of the allocation of funds and subsidies, the relevant legislation and attitudes of the subjects concerned.
