Aspects of the Domestic Novel in the Works of Jane Austen, Charlotte Brontë and George Eliot.

This bachelor thesis defines the term "domestic novel" and analyzes how the aspects of this genre are interpreted in the works of Jane Austen, Charlotte Brontë and George Eliot. The analysis shows how this genre evolved through time and what the chosen novels Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre and The Mill on the Floss have in common, which aspects are shared and which ones are different. Tato bakalářská práce definuje pojem "román rodinného života" a analyzuje, jakým způsobem se známky tohoto žánru objevují v románové tvorbě autorek Jane Austenová, Charlotte Brontëová a George Eliotová. Analýza ukazuje, jak se žánr vyvíjel časem a co romány Pýcha a Předsudek, Jana Eyrová a Mlýn na Řece Floss mají společného, jaké aspekty jsou stejné a jaké se liší.
