The Hero of "Zapiski iz podpolya" by F. M. Dostoyevsky in Polemic with Rationalism
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na analýzu vnitřního konfliktu hrdiny románu Zápisky z podzemí F. M. Dostojevského. Pozornost je soustředěna na způsoby, jimiž se hrdina vyrovnává s projevy racionalismu, přičemž hlavní důraz je kladen na motiv frustrace jakožto příčiny i důsledku protikladného myšlení a jednání hrdiny.
Abstract:
The present bachelor thesis is focused on the internal conflict of the hero of F. M. Dostoyevsky´s novel "Zapiski iz podpolya". The aim of the work is to show his ways of dealing with the growing impact of rationalism on society. Thesis analyzes his paradoxical mindset and behaviour, where the focus is placed mainly on a frustration as both the cause and the consequence of his internal conflict.
