Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá historickým vývojem a přeměnou města Zlína od druhé poloviny devatenáctého století do konce třicátých let století dvacátého z pozice venkovského města do podoby pozdější průmyslové metropole, a to v návaznosti na budování infrastruktury a přestavby původního městského uspořádání, zejména ze strany původních čelních představitelů městské správy, starostů a zároveň předchůdců Tomáše Bati. Důraz je kladen na zásadní aspekty rozvoje Zlína, tedy vznik významných správních, kulturních a dopravních staveb. Okrajově jsou nastíněny navazující kroky samotného průmyslníka a pozdějšího starosty Tomáše Bati. Práce přehledně mapuje cestu Zlína po linii méně významného regionálního sídla do podoby centra významných institucí justičního aparátu, státní správy a samosprávy.

Abstract:

The bachelor’s thesis describes the historical development and transformation of the city of Zlin since the second half of the nineteenth century until late thirties of the twentieth century. The city developped from a rural town to an industrial metropolis thanks to the improvements to the infrastructure and the conversion of the town’s original arrangement, mainly by the original representatives of the city administration, mayors and simultaneously the predecessors of Tomas Bata. The thesis emphasizes the fundamental aspects of the town’s development, namely the construction of important administrative, cultural and transportation structures. A marginal outline of the follow-up steps of the industrialist and later mayor of Zlin, Tomas Bata, is covered. The work traces the town’s path from a less significant regional settlement to the center of important judicial, governmental and self-governmental institutions.
