Diplomová práce se zabývá osobností Karla Weise, jeho skladatelskou, sběratelskou a publikační činností. Dále je podrobněji charakterizována sbírka Český Jih a Šumava v písni. V rámci skladatelské činnosti jsou popsány všechny jeho opery, operety, vokální tvorba a instrumentální tvorba. Praktickou část práce tvoří analýza vybraných písní ze skladatelovy tvorby. Abstract:
This thesis is aimed at personality of Karel Weis, his activities related to the fields of composing, collecting and publishing. Further, here are the poem collections called Český Jih and Šumava v písni characterized in details.
