Employment of people after prison sentence from the perspective of employers using CSR concept

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá zmapováním možnosti zaměstnávání osob po výkonu trestu odnětí svobody v rámci společenské odpovědnosti firem. Tyto osoby patří mezi ohrožené skupiny na trhu práce, přičemž zaměstnávání těchto skupin osob je jednou z možných aktivit sociálního pilíře CSR. Cílem této magisterské diplomové práce je odpovědět na otázku: Jakou zkušenost mají zástupci vybraných firem se zaměstnáváním osob po výkonu trestu odnětí svobody v kontextu Společenské odpovědnosti firem? Úkolem teoretické části je nastínit základní teoretické přístupy, které lze využít jako stavební kámen při interpretaci empirických dat. Teoretická část poukazuje na situaci osob po VTOS na trhu práce ze strany jejich i zaměstnavatelů, a dále také podává relevantní informace o konceptu CSR a jeho spojitosti se zaměstnáváním osob po VTOS. Vymezuje pojmy jako je společenská odpovědnost firem, stakeholder, nezaměstnanost, negativní dopady VTOS, implementace CSR, organizace věnující se zaměstnávání osob po VTOS. Metodologická část popisuje strategii výzkumu, tedy polostrukturovaný rozhovor v rámci kvalitativní strategie, postup sběru dat, výběr výzkumného vzorku a další relevantní informace k výzkumu. Interpretační část výzkumu postupně odpovídá na všechny dílčí otázky výzkumu a v závěru práce je na základě těchto informací zodpovězena hlavní výzkumná otázka. Výsledek výzkumu ukazuje, že zkušenosti respondentů se zaměstnáváním osob po VTOS jsou jak pozitivní tak negativní, v konečném důsledku však toto zaměstnávání všichni jako společensky prospěšný cíl podporují.

Abstract:

The thesis is mapping the employment possibilities of individuals after imprisonment in the context of the social responsibility. These people belong to vulnerable groups of the labor market and the employment of such individuals is one of the potential focuses of the CSR social pillar. The aim of this master's thesis is to answer the main research question: What experience do the representatives of selected companies have with the employment of individuals after imprisonment in the context of corporate social responsibility? The task of the theoretical part is to present the basic theoretical approaches that can be used as a foundation in interpreting of the empirical data. The theoretical part refers to the situation of individuals after imprisonment in the labor market from their perspective and the perspective of the employers. It also gives relevant information about the CSR concept and its links with the employment of individuals after imprisonment. The theoretical part defines concepts such as corporate social responsibility, stakeholders, unemployment, negative effects of imprisonment, the CSR implementation, organizations that deal with the employment of individuals after imprisonment and their situation in the labor market. The methodological part describes the research strategy - a semi-structured interview in the context of the qualitative strategy, the data collection process, selection of the research sample and other relevant research information. The interpretative part of the research successively answers all sub-issues of the research and, based on this information, the main research question is answered in the concluding part. The result of the research indicates that the respondents´ experience with individuals released from prison are both positve and negative but in the final analysis respondents support this employment as a socially beneficial target.
