Presented dissertation thesis is focused on the work of French writer Jean Lods, especially on his novels La Morte saison, Le Bleu des vitraux and Mademoiselle. It aims to analyse the searching of identity of the main characters and study if their identity is based on permanent tension. Předložená diplomová práce se soustředí na dílo francouzského spisovatele Jeana Lodse, zejména na romány La Morte saison, Le Bleu des vitraux a Mademoiselle. Práce analyzuje hledání identity jednotlivých postav a zkoumá, zda je jejich identita založená na neustálém napětí. Nejprve se práce zabývá vztahy mezi postavami, poté i vztahem hrdinů k sobě samému.
