Vocabulary of Pupils with a Different Mother Tongue

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá slovní zásobou žáků s odlišným mateřským jazykem (dále OMJ). Z důvodu migrace cizinců se v posledních letech na českých školách stále zvyšuje počet žáků, jejichž mateřským jazykem není čeština. Aby se žáci s OMJ úspěšně integrovali do českého vzdělávacího systému, musí se naučit mluvit česky. Zjistit, jak velká je slovní zásoba těchto žáků v oblasti českého jazyka, je i cílem této práce, a to konkrétně na znalosti české frazeologie. Práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část se věnuje vymezení základních pojmů souvisejících jak s prací se žáky s OMJ, tak pojmů z oblasti frazeologie. Praktická část se zabývá analýzou slovní zásoby žáků s OMJ. Data k analýze byla shromážděna na základě dotazníkového šetření, které bylo provedeno na středních školách. Sesbíraná data byla následně statisticky zpracována.

Abstract:

The master thesis deals with the vocabulary of pupils with a different mother tongue (hereinafter referred to as DMT). In recent years, due to the migration of foreigners, the number of pupils whose mother tongue is not Czech has been increasing in Czech schools. In order to successfully integrate into the Czech education system, pupils with OMJ must learn to speak Czech. The aim of this master thesis is to find out how wide the vocabulary of pupils with DMT in the field of the Czech language is, especially in the knowledge of Czech phraseology. The master thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to defining basic concepts related to working with pupils with DMT, as well as concepts in the field of phraseology. The practical part deals with the vocabulary analysis of pupils with DMT. The data for the analysis was collected based on a questionnaire survey conducted in secondary schools. The collected data were then statistically processed.
