This diploma thesis deals with a cultural and historical topic concerning the Přemyslid dynasty, especially the wives of Přemyslid rulers and their places of childhood and youth. The historical part of the work outlines the position of women and wives in medieval society, Přemyslid marriage policy, the way of choosing the bride and the importance of marriage in the Middle Ages.
